Thomas & Betts Ty-rap polypropylene – UV resistant – are highly suitable for applications where cable ties are exposed to UV radiation. Compared to polyamide 12, polypropylene cable ties offer better resistance against inorganic acids, polyhydric alcohols, and neutral or basic salts.

Innovative Design

The unique locking mechanism combines low insertion force with high tensile strength. The rounded, low-profile head prevents protrusions and increases safety during use. For added convenience, the ends are equipped with a double-sided finger grip, which greatly facilitates gripping and tightening of the cable ties.

Technical Properties

The cable ties are manufactured from polypropylene with a locking barb made of 316-grade stainless steel. They are suitable for use within a temperature range from -60°C to +80°C, with a minimum installation temperature of -40°C. Standard versions are supplied in black and comply with flammability rating UL 94 HB. In addition, the cable ties are fully UV resistant, halogen-free, and silicone-free, making them a durable and reliable solution for demanding environments.
