Ty-Rap cable ties made from polyamide 12 are highly suitable for applications where cable ties are exposed to UV radiation over an extended period. Polyamide 12 has a longer service life of 12 to 15 years compared to 7 to 9 years for the commonly used polyamide 6.6. In addition, the material remains flexible in cold and dry environments, ages more slowly, and offers better chemical resistance. This makes these cable ties a reliable choice for demanding outdoor and industrial applications.

Technical Properties

The cable ties are manufactured from polyamide 12 with a locking barb made of 316-grade stainless steel. They are suitable for use within a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, with a minimum installation temperature of -40°C. Standard versions are supplied in black and meet flammability rating UL 94 V-2. In addition, the cable ties are fully UV-resistant, halogen-free, and silicone-free, providing a durable and reliable solution even under harsh conditions.

Innovative Design

The unique locking mechanism combines easy insertion with high tensile strength. The rounded, low-profile head prevents protrusions and increases safety during use. The ends are equipped with a double-sided finger grip, making it much easier to grasp and securely tighten the cable ties.
