Thomas & Betts Ty-Rap Heat-Resistant, UV-Resistant, and Impact-Resistant Cable Ties
Thomas & Betts Ty-Rap heat-resistant/UV-resistant cable ties are designed for outdoor applications that also require resistance to high temperatures (+105°C). The unique locking mechanism combines low insertion force with high tensile strength. The rounded low-profile head reduces protrusions. For optimal ease of use, the ends feature a dual-sided finger grip to assist the user in holding and tightening the cable ties.
Material Properties and Industrial Applications
The heat-resistant cable ties are made from Polyamide 6.6 with a 316 stainless steel locking barb, halogen- and silicone-free, and UV-resistant, making them suitable for long-term use in both OEM and MRO applications such as transport, garden and agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and recreational vehicles. Their operating temperature range of -60°C to +105°C and low minimum installation temperature of -40°C make them versatile, while the UL 94 V-2 flammability rating provides added safety in various industrial environments.
