Raychem ES1000 Shrink Tubing – Optimal Moisture and Environmental Sealing and Electrical Insulation
The Raychem ES1000 shrink tubing from TE Connectivity is a transparent shrink tubing with a hot-melt adhesive liner. This shrink tubing is specifically designed for environmental sealing and electrical insulation of wire connections, terminals, and components where transparent inspection is required.
The Raychem ES1000 shrink tubing consists of a radiation-crosslinked, semi-rigid polyolefin outer jacket that provides excellent mechanical strength, strain relief, and protection against abrasion of wire connections and sensitive components. The inner layer of the tubing is a unique hot-melt adhesive, specially formulated to bond well to most types of commercial wire insulation and perform effectively over a wide temperature range.
The thick adhesive layer forms an effective barrier against liquids and moisture, helping to protect the wiring harness from corrosion and water absorption. Thanks to the high shrink ratio, only a few sizes are needed to cover a wide range of wire connections and component diameters.
