ZCSM Heat Shrink Sleeve for Low- and Medium-Voltage
ZCSM heat shrink sleeve for low- and medium-voltage from TE Connectivity Raychem. This flame-retardant sleeve is designed for insulation purposes on low-voltage cable accessories and applications, and provides mechanical protection for medium-voltage accessories.
The ZCSM sleeve is an uncoated, halogen-free, thick-wall type with low fire hazard properties. It is used to connect and protect low-fire-hazard cables commonly used in offshore, marine, mining, shipbuilding, construction, industry, and transport networks and equipment.
<h3>Applications for ZCSM</h3>
The ZCSM heat shrink tubing is approved for core insulation and as a sheath for safety-class cables in high-rise buildings, public facilities, subways, road or rail systems, and tunnels requiring insulation or circuit integrity—even under fire conditions. The optical smoke density produced by the ZCSM tubing under fire conditions has been measured in accordance with methods defined in standard IEC 61034.
The range of thick-walled ZCSM shrink tubing provides protection meeting the same fire standards as modern low-smoke, low-hazard cable specifications. The material composition of the ZCSM tubing is halogen-free and UV-stabilized. ZCSM heat shrink tubing is quick and easy to install and has proven long-term reliability in harsh climatic conditions and polluted environments.
