The 102L heat shrinkable end caps from TE Connectivity’s Raychem are designed to provide mechanical protection and environmental sealing for power cable ends. Applications of 102L End Caps
When combined in a kit, the 102L end caps form an active end-sealing system capable of isolating live cables up to 1000V. These Raychem end caps can also be mounted on plastic, metal, or wooden pipes or poles, making them versatile for various installation scenarios. The 102L/102K end caps are made of cross-linked polyolefin, a halogen-free material containing ≥ 2.5% soot and providing protection against ultraviolet light. This material ensures reliable and long-lasting protection.
Additionally, the 102L end caps can be manufactured with a polyamide self-adhesive coating that melts and flows during the shrinking process, creating a reliable moisture seal. This seal is not only moisture-resistant but also resistant to mold and weather, ensuring protection in harsh environmental conditions. The material is compatible with REACH and RoHS, making it an environmentally friendly choice for your cable sealing needs.
