Expando PT + Federal Mogul are durable, lightweight protective sleeves designed to safeguard cable assemblies, hoses, and wire harnesses from abrasion, cutting, and wear. The open weave construction of Expando products allows each size to expand to fit various application shapes and diameters. This open textile construction also makes them highly flexible and resistant to water, heat, and moisture.
Versatility and Applications of Expando PT + Federal Mogul
Expando PT + and Expando PT are braided polyester (PET) sleeves designed for applications up to 125°C. As general industrial/commercial products, Expando PT and Expando PT Plus balance mechanical and thermal stability with cost-effectiveness.
Innovative Fray-Resistant Technology for Easy Installation
The patented Federal Mogul treatment provides neater and easier finishing. The Plus treatment creates a web between the filaments of the sleeve to reduce fraying at the ends during installation and throughout the product’s life. Due to the fray-resistant properties of Expando PT Plus, it can be cut with regular scissors, reducing assembly time and eliminating the need for proper ventilation equipment required for cutting with a hot knife.
Expando PT and Expando PT Plus protective sleeves have numerous applications in the maritime, electronic, and general manufacturing industries.
