Ben-Har 1151-FRA Systems Protection Protective Sleeve
Ben-Har 1151-FRA is an extremely flexible silicone rubber-coated fiberglass sleeve with excellent flame-retardant properties. It is a UL-recognized component, meeting VW-1 flammability requirements, and is recommended for class H (200ºC) systems. The unique combination of a smooth fiberglass braid and flexible, elastomeric silicone coating allows this sleeving to expand and adapt over larger dimensions, providing a good fit, permanent placement, and elastic self-sealing on components or terminals.
The excellent adhesion of the rubber coating to the braid ensures protection against damage from rough handling. Ben-Har 1151-FR is resistant to acids, alkalis, organic solvents, and aliphatic hydrocarbons. Light swelling is caused by aromatic solvents and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Ketones and esters may cause degradation. Ben-Har 1151-FR is compatible with common class H insulating varnishes. Ben-Har 1151-FR is often used in device assemblies, cable harnesses, transformer cables, power supplies, and motor coil and heating cables.
