Expando FR/FR+
Expando FR/FR + provides maximum resistance to abrasion and impact damage while retaining the valuable properties of traditional Expando products. Rated up to +125°C and featuring a dual-monofilament construction, Expando FR/FR + smoothly blends stronger nylon (protective) fibers with resilient polyester (support) fibers. This carefully calculated mix of protective and support fibers ensures an excellent balance of key characteristics, including strength, expandability, resilience, and flexibility.
Bentley-Harris® Expando® products are robust, lightweight over-sleeves used to protect cable assemblies, hoses, and wiring harnesses from abrasion, cutting, and fraying. The open weave construction of Expando products allows for expansion to fit a range of application forms and sizes. This open-textile construction also makes them highly flexible and resistant to holding water, heat, and moisture.
Expando FR/FR + extends the lifespan of fluid, hydraulic, pneumatic, or thermal insulated hoses and wiring harnesses where physical damage is the greatest risk. This product should be considered wherever handling, repeated bending, abrasion, impacts, or similar hazards indicate the need for a high-quality protective over-sleeve. Expando FR/FR + is particularly suitable for applications in electronics, marine, vehicles, and industrial environments.
