Band-It Stainless Steel 316 Steel Band – Coated (PPA 571) and Uncoated
The Band-It 316 stainless steel band alloy provides excellent corrosion resistance in fresh water and typical atmospheres and is completely non-magnetic. Ideal for food processing, chemical or agricultural hose assemblies, splash zones at sea, and certain acidic environments.
Coated Steel Band (PPA 571)
Bands with a PPA 571 coating are suitable for industries such as traffic installations, oil & gas, chemical, marine & offshore, food processing, construction, insulation, and pipelines. These bands offer additional protection against corrosion and are ideal for aggressive environments such as offshore and chemical industries.
Coated Features:
- 316SS band with Performance Polymer Alloy PPA 571 coating
- Protection against vibration and galvanic corrosion between different metals
- Resistant to chemicals, salt spray, and UV exposure
Uncoated Steel Band
In addition to the coated variants, uncoated 316SS bands are also available. These provide maximum durability and corrosion resistance in less aggressive environments. They are suitable for less demanding applications and general fastening and bundling tasks where extra protection is not necessary.
Uncoated Features:
- 316SS stainless steel without coating
- Direct contact with other metals possible
- Very good resistance to moisture and general corrosion
- Ideal for indoor environments or applications where coating is not required
