Tools for Deutsch DT series
Tools for Deutsch DT series are available for two types of DEUTSCH contacts: solid and stamped & formed. Both types of contacts are designed for crimp terminations – no soldering is required or recommended. A crimp-style termination displaces the wire strands and creates a superior bond between the wire and the contact. Various tools are available for manually crimping and terminating wires, inserting and removing wires, and removing wedge lock/terminal position assurance. The tools are specific to either solid contacts or stamped & formed contacts. To achieve proper crimping and highest performance specifications, contacts should be crimped using the recommended tools.

Contact removal tool
DEUTSCH removal tools are designed to simplify contact removal and repairs in field service. These removal tools are compact, user-friendly, and made from heavy-duty plastic to remove contacts without damaging the wire, insulation, connector seals, or connector body. They are essential for wire removal in the DTHD, Jiffy Splices, HD10, HDP20, HD30, DRC, AEC, and WT series.

Automatic crimping tool for solid contacts
For higher production volumes, a pneumatic crimping tool is available for DEUTSCH solid contacts. The HDP-400 is a pneumatic solid contact crimp tool, designed for rapid, bench-top operation capable of crimping most DEUTSCH contacts. The HDP-400 features a foot pedal control and die sets and locators for each contact size that are easily interchangeable. TE’s stamped and formed OCEAN applicator dies are heavy-duty mini-dies compatible with many industry-standard presses. The OCEAN applicator dies offer easy adjustments and flexibility to accommodate contacts of various sizes and wire thicknesses.
